6th African Diaspora Global Mental Health Conference

18-19 November 2023

The 6th African Diaspora Global Mental Health Conference took place on 18-19 November 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. The theme of the conference was the mental health impact of climate change and environmental stressors. Approximately 70 individuals attended the two-day event from Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The meeting included updates from the AGMHI’s four working groups in the domains of research, training & education, clinical care delivery, and advocacy & policy, invited presentations, panel discussions, and presentations from emerging African mental health researchers.
