3rd African Diaspora Global Mental Health Conference in Cape Town, South Africa

The 3rd African Diaspora Global Mental Health Conference was held on 18-19 September 2019 at the Century City Conference Centre, Cape Town, and was hosted by Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM)/ Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).

This interactive conference entailed workshops and indepth discussions on mental health in relation to the four key components of interest to the AGMHI. Delegates included notable psychiatrists and mental health professionals from all over the world to address ongoing global mental health challenges and to initiate the development of solutions for Africa and the diaspora. Some of the countries represented included Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda.
